You may wonder what your business is with a
child on the street or the beggars on the road. After all God has blessed you
with all the fancy things of life, I mean you can’t complain generally.
So you wonder, what is my business with the
begging child on the street from a wretched home where the parents can’t cater
for them, “how that one take *consign* you? *rolling eyes*
Well permit me to educate you!!!
Your children are growing up or would grow
up in the same community as these street kids. We are all going to plough the
same roads, visit the same markets and malls etc.
And where our children go on to become
Lawyers, Doctors, Actresses, Musicians and all the fancy professional roles in
the society, the street kids on the other hand go on to become Armed robbers,
Kidnappers, ritualists etc. Now think about it, an equal combination of the two
in our community. Not sure it would be a happy and peaceful one.
The crime rates in our country are
alarming, the hooliganism like the ALUU 4, the Ejigbo crisis to mention but a
few.
We have to eradicate such future
occurrences because if we don’t, you might be the next victim.
Guys!!! It has gone beyond extending a nice
hand, or satisfying your conscience that you give to the poor, it is evident
that it has become our duty to clean up our streets. Send every child to a
classroom to keep them from armed robbery, kidnapping, ritualism etc.
It is quite obvious to even the blind man
that our government has failed us. We cannot fail ourselves, let us stand up
for our children and more generations to come.
Take it up as a mandate on yourself to make
it your business when you see small children in the hold-up cleaning
windscreens. Ask for their names, parents, and why they are not in school. Ask
for the community they come from, inform us and let us offer them a chance for
a better life. At least they deserve that much cause they are no different from
you and me. We are just fortunate and blessed to be better off than they are.
So it is your business what goes on around
you and me!!!!

I have always thought of how to help others, but then I don't have millions to give. I also know u don't have to be rich to make a difference, all that's needed is a willing and caring heart.
ReplyDelete@Osijo Oluwarantimi.. even just an idea can affect millions and make a difference in their lives. money although important, still takes a back sit to love, care, a willing heart just as you mentioned. you demonstrated love by giving so you have made a world of difference. God bless ur heart!!!
